Louis Peitzman is a freelance writer in New York. Most recently, he was the Deputy Arts & Entertainment Editor at BuzzFeed News. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, Gawker, TV.com, and the San Francisco Chronicle.

Louis continues to be far too active on Twitter, where he has learned how to turn his insecurities into something we can all laugh at (between the tears). He performs at storytelling shows wherever and whenever they will have him, and co-hosted AfterSmash, a podcast devoted to Smash, with Matt Piwowarczyk. He smiles a lot more than you’d think.

15 Layers of Irony began as a general interest blog, with posts about life, film, TV, and pop culture. Then it turned into a blog solely about the author’s feelings (read: a glorified LiveJournal). Now it’s mostly defunct, but he still appreciates your interest and will try to keep it updated often enough that you don’t feel like you’ve wasted your time loading this page.

This is my new favorite blog. I would write something witty, but it’s Monday morning and the coffee machine at work is broken, so this is the best I can manage. Feel free to insert a clever and flattering comment about yourself in my comment, though.

I follow you on Twitter and only now decided, who is this guy? I write in the third person too but not now. Keep tweeting, people look at me weird when I laugh out loud at your stuff.

Talk about irony. I read your reasons to be obsessed with Lorde….and a friend sent me the link to some dude on youtube doing a cover of Royals whichblew me away. Talk about inspiring and crossing all barriers and cultures. The song is transending. I think the guys name is Kando. Black dude with nothing but his body providing the beat. Wish I jad the link but look it up on youtube. “Covering royals kando style” He proves all of our points.
